[2] Predecessorum decreta tenetur episcopus illibata conservare et de virtute sua eis nullatenus derogare. Constitutionibus enim suis perniciose antistes detrahit, qui predecessorum canones interrumpit.

[3] Privilegiorum|[113r] multorum testimoniis certi sumus, quod in hac libertate nostra fundata est ecclesia, ut nichil reverentie, nichil exactionis archidiano suprabibantium redderemus.

[4] Et quoniam de avaritia et cupiditate ductus manum amplius extendit et irrationabiliter et cupide plusquam debeamus exigere cupiditatem eius, rogamus corripi et eo modo inter nos componi, ut ipse cognoscat, quid a nobis exigere debeat, et nos ne minus sciamus, quamtum ei annuatim persolvere debeamus.


1 The parrishioners respond that their church owes nothing to the archdeacon, as is proven by the testimony of many privileges. They complain that the archdeacon makes these claims only from avarice and ask the bishop to determine how much they owe him annually.
