[14.1] So that those things that are enacted in our times cannot in the future be assailed by calumny, they are accustomed to be recorded by the memory of a letter.
[14.2] Thus may present and posterity know that our faithful < subject> B., of such and such place, gave his burg in such and such place to the Templars.
[14.3] And so that his gift might remain more stable than that and cannot be weakened by posterity, we have wished that it be strengthened by the bulwark of our seal.
